Volunteering at The Brewster Center

If you are the type of person who:
Does what you can when you can
Enjoys a break in the routine of your life
Likes to do "projects"
Feels satisfaction in participating in a positive movement of change…

…then give a little here and there to the thought of helping out as an "odd jobber" volunteer!

We often times have projects or tasks that come up periodically that require us to ask for a helping hand. These projects can range from landscaping and moving furniture to clerical tasks. And of course every Fall and Winter we need a hand with out annual Adopt-A-Family Project.

POSITION: "Odd- jobber"

FUNCTION: The "odd-jobber" volunteer may choose from a list of various things that need to be done around our facilities or to participate in our annual Adopt-A-Family Project which is held in the Fall and Winter of each year.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Assist with minor or one-time projects.

REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION:
1. Must be of age that is suitable to successfully complete project
2. Attend one Volunteer Orientation
3. Must complete volunteer application including references

QUALIFICATIONS OF POSITION:
1. Willingness to work within guidelines, policies, standards, and mission statement of the Brewster Center.
2. Willingness to receive guidance and direction
3. Ability to work as part of a team or independently as project requires
4. Commitment of time, interest, and energy to completion of "odd job"

SPECIAL ABILITIES AND KNOWLEDGE:
Our "odd job" list may include tasks that would require special skills.
